Is the sod cut fresh?

Yes — all sod from Sunrise Sod Farms is freshly cut to order. We do not store pre-cut inventory. Your order is harvested and delivered within 24 hours.

Can I always get sod the next day?

We provide next-day delivery for orders placed by 9 AM EST, Monday through Thursday. For Monday delivery, orders must be placed by noon on Friday. We do not offer weekend delivery.

How many square feet are on a pallet?

Our St. Augustine sod comes in 400 sq. ft. pallets. To estimate what you need, multiply the length by the width of your lawn. We recommend adding 5-10% for trimming and cuts.

Do you offer landscaper pricing?

Yes! We have a dedicated landscaper portal with volume pricing. Select “I am a Landscape Company” when ordering, or log in through our landscaper login to access your account and pricing.

Is there a warranty on delivered sod?

We do not offer a warranty on delivered sod. Once the sod is offloaded, it is the customer’s responsibility to install and care for it. We strongly recommend laying the sod the same day it is delivered for best results.

Can I pick up from your farm?

Yes. Our Central Florida farm location offers customer pickup. Please note there is a tunnel at the farm entrance with a 12 foot 6 inch clearance. If you are sending a third-party driver, make sure they know this in advance.

What sod is best for Florida shade?

St. Augustine (particularly Seville or Palmetto varieties) and Zoysia handle partial shade best among Florida grass types. Floratam and Bahia prefer full sun. If you’re unsure, call us and we’ll help you pick the right variety for your yard.

Orders placed by 9 AM Monday through Thursday trigger same-morning harvest. Your sod is cut fresh from the field — not pulled from sitting inventory.

Loaded and Ready

Fresh-cut pallets are loaded and prepared for delivery. Our team handles each pallet carefully to keep the sod intact and the roots moist during transport.

Next-Day Delivery

Your sod arrives the next business day. Lay it the same day for the best results — fresh sod roots faster and establishes stronger when installed immediately after delivery.
